Unlike Lynsey, who came to this gig having heard Star from ivy's CD, I came to show support for the headline band, "Goodbye Motor Skills". I hadn't heard the CD at all, just knew that Star from Ivy had played a wicked set at LRAP 2003 (Lichfield Rock & Pop Festival).
Star from ivy were superb and on the basis of the gig, I bought a copy of the CD. So did everyone else I went with! An absolute bargain at £3.00 for the 5 tracks. It wasn't out of my car for at least a month! If there is any justice in the world, this band will be big.
I agree with everything Lynsey said - the vocals were superb and the band very professional. They are playing again at this year's (2004) LRAP on Saturday 7th August, supporting the headline act. LRAP is a completely free day long music festival.
