Review: 'Nieland, Charlie'
'Divisions (single)'

-  Label: 'Bandcamp'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '18.11.20.'

Our Rating:
This is the first single from New York based Producer/Songwriter Charlie Nieland's new album Divisions that's due out in 2021. Charlie is a member of The Bushwick Book Club, Lusterlit and Her Vanished Grace as well as working with Blondie and Deborah Harry, Scissor Sisters and Rufus Wainwright.

Divisions is the title track and first single from Charlie Nieland's new album due out in 2021, this is a slow forceful tirade against the divisions opening up in society and the effects of the last few years on how things are, this wants to break down barriers with the sort of drumming and percussion that suggests they want to spread there message like Peter Gabriel did in Games Without Frontiers (War Without Tears) this is looking to help us unite and heal the planet. This is deeply literate heartfelt rock for everyone's own heartlands and our communal one too.

The B-side Pawns is a Dystopian doomed slow march of the pawns towards some desperate new reality and as you commit the terrible acts you finally realize you've been used as a pawn for someone else's agenda, if we lived in anytime but 2020 this would seem rather paranoid but these days it's more like normal reportage of one day of watch the news in America with music that sounds like a slowed down symphony played on synths and percussion.
