This is apparently "the most guitar-driven groove heavy album" of Sam Morrow's catalogue. It's his fourth full length release. With no false modesty. the native Texan says "It's about the fabric of America."
By this token, you'd have to say that a track entitled Money Ain't A Thing must be meant ironically. Last time I looked, money was still God in the 'land of the free'. Still, Morrow advances a simpler and less materialistic philosophy: "All I need is a geetah and shit-kicking band", he proclaims.

Anachronistic funk rockers like Rosarita ("ain't nothin' sweeter") and Wicked Woman summon up the ghosts of Lynyrd Skynyrd or ZZ Top with no hint of irony.
The godawful cover art does this LA based artist no favors but at least it flags up the fact that the retro music on offer has zero pretensions towards anything remotely trendy.
