Review: 'LINDELL, JESPER'
'Twilights'

-  Label: 'Brunnsvik Sounds/Rootsy Music'
-  Genre: 'Soul' -  Release Date: '18th March 2022'

Our Rating:
This Swedish artist’s second album was recorded in his own studio in Brunnsvik, outside of Ludvika, and produced by Lindell and Björn Pettersson,

Despite it carrying only Lindell’s name it is a collaborative effort of a six piece band with three guest singers: fellow Swede Klara Söderberg; French rocker Theo Lawrence (on Dance) ; and American singer Amy Helm. Helm is daughter of Levon Helm and she sings on the title track which is a cover of her Dad’s group ‘The Band’.

All ten tracks are sung in English and the album is categorised as a mix of blue-eyed soul and down-to-earth classic rock. This is a fairly accurate description of the mellow and soporific easy listening tunes that might have been made four decades ago.

As befits the chilled mood, the listener is assured that the sun will go on shining and everything’s gonna be all right.
