Review: 'Soap Girls, The'
'Breathe'

-  Label: 'Bandcamp'
-  Genre: 'Punk/New Wave' -  Release Date: '15.4.22.'

Our Rating:
Breathe is the first single off of The Soap Girls fourth album In My Skin. The band are the two Debray Sisters Mie and Mille who were born in France but raised in Cape Town South Africa where they Started their career selling Handmade Soap for charity aged 8 and 9. They have become legendary live performers as they choose to play wearing not many clothes at all and think anyone who ever gets outraged by scantily clad women rather than evil governments and wars have their priorities all wrong.

Breathe takes a Ramones/Runaways style beat and adds almost Clair Grogan style new wave vocals on a driving pop song about the need to Breathe and not be overwhelmed by life in general as the guitars drive it all along and the almost girl group vocals work a treat this is very catchy indeed.
