Our Rating:
Awavez claims to be a new kind of Famenonymous artiste wanting to remain totally anonymous, I was sent this by random email shot and haven't a clue who he is, other than he knew my email address. He has apparently released 30 songs in the last couple of years, this release is a concept single or album, it's 20 minutes long with 9 tracks for you to arrange anyway you want, or to drop one part into a dj mix.

This starts with an introduction by Awavez who explains the concept for how to put your version of the song together using the shuffle feature or making your own playlist as there are 720 ways you can play the six parts of this album, should you have nothing better to do with your time. I listened to it as it downloaded straight and then once on shuffle and have then shuffled my original review into the second part of the review with a few adjustments in a very 1950's Burroughs cut up kind of way as this idea really isn't that new.

The first part if you play it in order is the Blue Bird Drum And Bass that is slinky dancefloor action with some wistful vocals that morph into Oh And Fly Free as more squelchy noises arrive as well as some male vocals as well as the female ones.

Blue Bird Fly Free and Ooh How W Guitar makes the vocals more of a chant style thing as the funky bass gets going. Brass And Fly Free expands the sound a touch more, as that Blue Bird fly's free. The addition of the Low Pass filter appears to dirty up the sound somewhat. The Guitar solo is quite squiggly against the ever present drum and bass line.

The normal version just keeps the same constant sound of the drums and bass with the ever-repeating single vocal line as everyone gets slinky on the dancefloor. Fluttering hands signaling that the Blue Bird is finally flying free.

The Long version all 6 minutes plus of it, builds from the percussion line, adding in the synth and bass to really get deep into it before the vocal line comes in and the squelchy keyboard sounds are added to the mix.

The short version then condenses everything down to its' essence, or if you've listened to it as an album just continues with more of the same tune, building falling and flying free.

My Remix goes a bit like this. The addition of the Low Pass filter appears to dirty up the sound somewhat, with the Guitar solo quite squiggly against the ever-present drum and bass line.
