Our Rating:
Friends In Noise has taken Black Market Karma main man Stan Belton 9 years to put together, it is a series of musical collaboration with friends and musicians who have crossed his path who share a similar musical vision. The collaborators include Craig Dyer of The Underground Youth and Butchy Davy of The Confederate Dead, Tess Parks and Ruari Meehan and Tatia Starkey who is Ringo's granddaughter.

The album opens with Aping Flair Featuring Ruari Meehan on a very spaced-out early Spectrum style hazy song of regret, that they must spend time with someone who's a real drag, brings them down. So roll a big fat one, sit back and enjoy the stoned guitars, half-awake vocals seeping through the mix towards you.

Wonky Featuring The Underground Youth has an almost Laser Guided Melody, gently dappled in the warmth of the valves, as you feel wasted, pinned to the sofa once more, staring vacantly at how the lava lamp interacts with the oil wheel with your psychedelic posters, as you nod that you should use your love, as soon as you feel straight enough to get up again.

The Sky Was All Diseased featuring Tess Parks feels like they've come up on a far more energetic high, starting to reach for the skies, no matter how breathy, opiated, Tess vocals are, as they tell us just how diseased the sky was, as Squirrels fall from the sky, bread clasped in there mouths, pulsing guitars implore you to go to sleep dreaming of a Coney Island Steeplechase, phased dappled dissipations streaking across the sky.

Heady Ideas (Yoakim Ahlund Remix) pulsating repetitive, echo chamber space mantra musical flight, analogue drones expanding your Heady Ideas, finding new ways to float out into space.

Les Big Byrd-War In The Streets (Stanley Belton Remix) is a gently immersive space pop epic, that sounds so blessed serene, as it rails against the War Raging In The Streets euphoric waves of guitar, shimmering percussive splashes coloring the analogue synth undertow.

Ageing Boy with The Confederate Dead is supine shimmering, spaced out, phased beyond chilled, come down anthem, repeating looping your brain into the other spheres, realms, plains of existence, on the spaceship warped flight, with that Ageing Boy putting that smile on your face, grinning liked three pills have hit at once.
