Lancastrian Molly Warburton has been prolific in knocking out tunes on Spotify this last couple of years or so, racking up over a million plays – and probably earning herself about a tenner in the process.
Her bio makes much of how she picked up a guitar at the age of just ten, indicating her longstanding love of music and musicmaking, but there’s not much, if any, actual guitar on ‘Gravity’.
Promising a song with ‘a dreamy, ethereal quality that builds into an uplifting and infectious pop-fuelled chorus’ which is ‘socially inspired by the likes of Fleetwood Mac, KT Tunstall and Kate Bush’, it’s a deft piece of pop that’s simple and melodic, and benefits from some pretty slick production values that render it 100% radio / playlist-friendly.
