Our Rating:
On are a Toronto based power trio fronted by Bass Mistress Lucy Di Santo alongside Steve Fall both of whom were in Acid Test alongside Dan Cornelius. The album was recorded at BC Studios with Martin Bisi in the producer's chair.

This breaks out of the speakers on Break You a hard-edged grungy rocker as singer Lucy Di Santo tells us all the ways she intends to Break You, watch out she's a woman on the war path once more. Will you submit to her will or not, well the guitars build to a crescendo that might be your answer as that bassline slowly waits on your answer the guitars splinter.

Underdog is mosh pit read college grunge pop that rages along as suddenly the lyrics start to grip and make you try to figure out just why they are taking us back to 1967 rather than current events.

Gator sounds like a slower paced song by L7, as this unfolds with heavy guitars and burnished vocals trying to keep those Gators at bay.

Blackmail has a bass led intro that has an indie dance feel to it, like Sneaker Pimps or Little Hell that builds and explodes as the terms of the blackmail become clearer, or do they as this isn't as forceful as The Runaways Blackmail.

Hereafter slows things down, strips them back a good bit as Lucy lists all the things than needs to change Hereafter for things to improve.

FLA takes us down to the Badlands of Florida while trying not to fall into any more trouble than needed, this feels more like Belly or Throwing Muses as the main influence. This certainly avoids the Miami Sound Machine no matter how much they sing about Miami and other Floridian hot spots.

Soul Killer is almost Distillers meets Sound Garden style grunge rock with a very catchy repeating riff as it builds relentlessly, as she sings about forgetting your gender, just getting on with doing what the hell she wants too.

Take A Shot is asking for a fight, an argument waiting to happen and is as angry and aggressive as it needs to be. Go on have a go so she can slap you down and put you in your place, as the guitars rampage around your ears and the drums beat you into submission.

Try is a slow impassioned plea for you to Try Try again, don't give up you might still find the right answers and get the right results, just don't be afraid to Try.

The album closes with Amends that has a story at it's heart about mods and rockers finding their way through town, figuring out how to make amends for all the wrongs as the guitars get far heavier and things go full on numerological mystical and questioning this gets even more full on.
