Not Your Angel takes Ruth Blake into a more electronic sphere on this song about a nasty unexpected break up from an ex who was upset by Ruth's anger, well the scorn she feels for this dolt is clear, as the glitchy synths and gadgetry accentuate the central message that she is no longer yours to control, as if she ever was. This is a very modern anthem to female empowerment that in places reminds me of Emily Capell, Not sure what bad word I missed in the standard version that makes the radio edit essential, but whichever version you listen too this is a cool single.
