Review: 'Indya'
'Leather N Lace'

-  Label: 'Self Released'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '6.5.23.'

Our Rating:
Leather & Lace is the second album by Indya the rock band fronted by songwriter Laudez Rose who is a Brit School graduate.

The album opens with Too Goth Too Handle (Clean Version) that is in no way too goth, but instead is a modern metal pop, with breathy almost rapped vocals, with a central drum core the rest of the tune seem built around, as Laudez gets more paranoid at being called Too Goth again.

Leather N Lace would just about fit on one of those compilations it's named after, the drumming has a clubby edge to it, as the bedroom vocals whisper at you, as the guitars get orgasmic set against this tale of a mistress scorned.

Little Crush is dark dancefloor funky rock, like Republica if they came out of a fetish club, as Laudez makes you bend to her will just by looking at you in that way, men will wilt at her vocals.

Fill Me With Your Love has libidinous breathy vocals, with dubby bass to entice you, as Laudez whispers screams and wails into your ears just why she needs you to Fill Her With Your Love, as the guitars work against the pulsing sounds.

I Wanna Be The One is hot and sweat heavy rock with a dancefloor edge to it, as the guitars go a touch widdly in places this is good and catchy.

Raise Ya Vibration Rock Mix Ft Israelite has a good dubby breakdown with Israelite toasting along as the guitars go off, Laudez lets us know she really needs you to raise your game.

Ignite It (Feat MC Neat) is a dark tale of lust, wickedness the things you don't tell each other encased in strings and MC Neat playing the part of the guy who has all the lines to get her to do what he wants, or so he thinks, do they see the light together or does it explode rather than Ignite their passions.

Wasted is an anthem for a guy that got her totally wasted, when he really didn't need too, this has a Tura Satana with Whitesnake guitars feel to it.

Finish Her is a heavy rock love song with a goth twist that's a bit Lacuna Coil meets Felixity as she seeks to finish off her love rival.

The album closes with Ferrari (Radio Clean) that sounds nothing like the music you usually hear pumping out of a Ferrari, as this song about the sort of guy who want to take Laudez for a ride in his Ferrari and she really isn't impressed with his motor, thinking if she can really screw with his mind if she goes all Nu Metal, like a female fronted Limp Bizkit he'll get the hint and chase someone else instead.
