Our Rating:
The Wave files is the new album by Guitarmy Of One, the solo project of Scott Helland from Frenchy & The Punk, who used to be in Deep Wound and the Outpatients.

The album opens with the first single Top Secret Agent Man On A Wire Tapped Phone At Sea, with its Morse code guitar parts, that are part Duane Eddy, part Link Wray filtered through a 21st century lens, be careful not to play this tune to any enemy agents.

Jack Lord Of The Sea is very much a pre-fire tune, for the wonders of Hawaii, as Jack lord does his best to keep the islands pristine and clean, like the guitar lines and semi-spanish inflections that are perfect to go down a worm hole of wonder, at all the mysteries in Jack Lords life.

Kolchak Meets The Sea Monster takes us deep into the briny waters as Kolchak does battle trying to save his Russian bosses from a dreadful end, at the hands of The Sea Monster, who likes nothing more that destroying any night stalkers, it only attacks at night aided by this soundtrack.

Soylent Seafoam Green is a tasty treat for anyone who's always dreamed, that one day they too will be feasting on Soylent Green, this adds a seafoam twist to it, to make it Masterchef ready for your delectation, as this cooks up a storm.

The Sea And The Seventh Veil Of Surveillance is for anyone dancing beneath drone surveillance, as most of us did recently at the Notting Hill carnival, only this is more of a fandango revealing the many layers of guitar trickery on display here.

Plight Of The Searchlight is to be turned into a surf guitar extravaganza in the style of Los Plantronics melding with a sarsaparilla style Dick Dale edge, as the guitar weaves across the wilderness trying to dodge the ever widening gaze of the searchlight.

Sea Legs Diamond evokes the south side of Chicago blues spirit, infusing it with dark south seas rhythms, while Legs is busy working out the odds on Two Guns Cohen surviving his next assignment with Chiang Kai-Shek.

Espionage A Trois On The Open Sea, as the action moves on board a junk, as you try to find out what's going down in Macau with the boys, as they ask for directions on how to find Jim Thompson while eluding the banyans inhabited by Fu Man Chu.

Must Be The Season For Treason the perfect accompaniment for the never ending litany of orange mugshots infesting the world, as this generations Strawman gets ready for his march toward incarceration, every time the coverage starts this tune needs to be on the soundtrack to add intensity , intrigue and integrity, to the insane twists in a never ending saga.

Séance For the Saint or More chiming guitar roger you senseless by way of evoking Larry Taylor once more wreaking havoc.
