Our Rating:
El Corazon is the new album by Indie-punk supergroup Los Santos that was recorded in Cadiz, Bermondsey and Greenwich by the band who include Richard England, Alex Wonk, Michael G. Bayliss, X Ray Vez, Chris Musto, Andy Cox, Kate O'Brien and Peter Wilkinson and with all the artwork by Chris Musto.

The album opens with some computer games noises before the guitars and drums come roaring in On The Strip (Vegas Baby) that feels like the plot for another episode of CSI Vegas as it's all gone to hell and the only real answer to what's gone down is its Vegas Baby.

Bourbon Street doesn't have a real New Orleans feel, more like you've been on the lash in spoons again, drinking bargain basement Bourbon and lost control, as the guitars rage across the speakers and try not to sound too much like Transvision Vamp.

Stoneface is something I spent years suffering from, that permanent haze, the gormless look, that needs to hide behind all the clattering noise, who hid the mirror they need so badly anyway, they sound like they are bouncing off the walls having a total blast.

Sorry is the sort of apology you give when you feel like you have to say Sorry but really want to stick two fingers up instead, drums pin you to the wall as the guitars threaten to smack you over the head and they all chant I'm Sorry like they really want to sound like Timothy again.

Fanclub (For Ronnie Spector) is a cool tribute to the first lady of girl punk and girl groups, this has a bit of a Ramones edge to it, the sweeter sound as they celebrate a woman who should feature in everyone's record collection.

The cd closes with the one cover on the album Sorry Somehow the Grant Hart composition for Husker Du, this has a great grungy edge to it as the race through this classic tune that encourages everyone to sing along to the chorus.
