Our Rating:
Finally The Hedrons are back with the bands second album a mere 16 years after they put out there debut One More Won't Kill Us. This Scottish female indie-rock band retain their classic line-up of Tippi, Rose, Soup and Gill are back to rock like 4 full on Glaswegian rockers should.

The album bursts into life with Give Me A Chance a full throttle plea for acceptance and a good life, with bluesy indie rock vocals, the crunchy guitars make sure you want to give Tippi and The Hedrons a chance to entertain us at the very least.

Only When It Rains is good and stormy like the relationships they sing about, these women are still not to be messed with, as we wonder exactly what it is she only does when it's raining, as the guitars soar, as this imprints itself on repeat in the listeners head.

The Waters Coming In is a quick smart tale of living in the sort of place that gets flooded regularly, as they plead for some togetherness to help them through all the trauma while sounding like a slightly more rocked up The Audience.

Turn The Video Off is a plea to turn off some horror on the TV have they been caught watching Homes Under The Hammer again, or is it something darker and more sinister as this races away as they want that Video off now.

Beauty Queen (The Dog) is a wry look at women caught up in the lies behind the Beauty Queen industry, as they hope to find a better direction, as the guitars go off, making sure your head banging enough to make all your make up run, long before that sad overdose that took that Beauty Queen away too soon, this has a great bittersweet edge to it.

Tired Of Taking is of course super wordy as Tippi makes sure we know she's had enough of all the bull and lies and wants to get on with having a good time, as the stop start guitars pick up the pace, making clear they won't apologize for anything they do to get what they need.

Heartache is all the pain of the Heartache they feel when your around and won't give them what they want, full throated pleading, as it's not getting resolved soon, as they are just too wild to contain.

Human is a touch softer than the rest of the album, as they show there more sensitive side, admitting they are only Human, while sounding rather seductive, on this gently evocative tune.

Regrets they've had a few, but making a new album shouldn't be one of them! As this is great fun, hoping to have more adventures on the road, making memories of all the fun they've had.

The album closes with Give You Everything and you'll be wishing you were the lucky recipient of everything they are promising to give you, it will be a hell of a ride, you'll be left with a huge stupid grin on your face, as The Hedrons flounce out of the room on there way to the next conquest.
