Antimony is the latest EP from Warren Records artiste Moss who claims to be part of the Toadstool-core scene, they also identify as an enby artist, while the ep was recorded at Warren House in Hull with Moss being Moss Parker, William Longton and Adam Pattrick who also produced the ep.
The ep opens with Selfish Selflessness which is a perfectly named song, for the times we live in, this is a jangling Smiths style slightly mopey song, that wants to find a way not to be bullied into behaving like your told, stop dictating to them and let us all be, without all your relentless selfishness.
Black Dahlia wallows in dark thoughts and jangling guitars, wanting to get away from all the mistreatment, wanting to find your own tribe to live as you wish, is that too much to ask for. Bedroom Sun feels a touch more hopeful, you lie in bed seeing the sun poking through, you reflect on the lover who has left their traces behind, be it the imprint on the sheets, or the perfume that still wafts through your mind.
Antimony has a dark almost sitar like intro, for this tale of longing and lust unfulfilled, you are entranced by the spell of someone who never returns the love you give.
