-  Genre: 'Industrial' -  Release Date: '26.9.25.'-  Catalogue No: 'ODR127'

Our Rating:
I'm Hungry is the latest album by Tokyo drum and bass noise rock duo Moja, who know how to disgust this reviewer, with a cover photo featuring a huge totally disgusting looking double burger being eaten by one half of the band, whose face is obscured by the massive burger ugh! Moja are Haru and Masumi who recorded and mixed the album at Machine studio Tokyo it was mastered by Masato Morisaki at Artisans Mastering in Tokyo.

The album bursts into life with clattering noise rock Excuse Me grabbing your attention, before the deep bassline rumbles across the speakers, vocals get more angsty, eventually everything drops out, they state repeatedly Excuse Me my name is leading to a total cataclysmic outro.

Food is in love with burgers and fries in ways I am not, so while I do everything I can, to continue my ongoing boycott of burgers, having stopped eating them in 1985, this tune sounds like how I remember feeling after eating them, either like I wanted to throw up, or like someone with war breaking out in their stomach, drums freak out sounding like your expelling the awful food out of your system, totally purging.

No Thank You repeats that well known phrase over intense bass and drums, making crystal exactly what they are saying no Thank You too, in my case it is the burgers and fast food, rather than the stuff they are screaming about. Oh My God!! What is this mad music about, well distort your mind and let those meme core phrases illuminate what they don't care about, bass runs getting funky against cymbal mania drums.

Alien synthscape Oram style synths warp minds, making tranced out drum and bass dancefloor moves to freak out, shake yourself into a Sigourney cocoon, deep down distortions wobbling walls. Making Noise does what it says on the tin, intense screed vocals, mad infective bass, crashed out drumming and brains splattered shaking walls of bass noise. The album closes with Zero a slow-motion angst-ridden tale of burned pages, sirens on riot strewn streets, abandoned by Oxbow explosive crescendo ending.
