Review: 'SCHAU SCHOU'
'January (EP)'

-  Label: 'Café Superstar Recordings'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '23rd January 2026'

Our Rating:
The artist name of this low-key Norwegian duo is taken from the surnames of Kristopher and Christoffer respectively.

As well as being a musician, Kristopher Schau is a radio and TV personality. He has worked with rock bands with ugly names i.e. White Urine and The Cumshots.

Christoffer Schou’s credits include his contribution to the dreamy pop of Remington Super 60.

Kristopher is the songwriter and presumably the singer. Christoffer is the producer.

The fruits of their collaboration consist of five brief tracks of dark shoegaze which carry a hushed sense of undefinable menace.

In first song - Follow The Water - opens with the repeated line “Don’t worry, you’re not lost”.   The voice sounds less than reassuring so his offer of assistance is one which I would be wary of accepting.

The ominous mood is maintained in the other four tunes so the hashtag ‘melancholic’ is well earned.
