Review: 'LADY SOVEREIGN'
'RANDOM'

-  Label: 'CASUAL'
-  Genre: 'Dance' -  Release Date: 'February 2005'

Our Rating:
LADY SOVEREIGN’S been in demand of late. The Streets, Dizzee Rascal and D12 are all admirers with potential collaborations on the cards. Sounding harder than l’il Bow Wow, this definitely ain’t lightweight. Think Basement Jaxx playing slap and tickle with Missy Elliot and you might get close.

Taking in jungle, hip hop and dancehall, and complete with prison interludes; ‘Random’- the latest offering from female MC Lady Sovereign - ticks and booms as Sov rhymes with whimsical intelligence style, beats and delivery and with a mention of ‘Birminham’,it’s distinctly British. Don’t be surprised if you’re down on one knee and kissing the ring anytime soon.
