Ex-pat Leeds rockers THE GLITTERATI return with another prime slice of hard-rockin' braggadocio from their cunningly self-titled debut album.
And, while this ain't exactly the regular kettle of tadpoles your reviewer takes pleasure in imbibing from at home, this here quintet are getting pretty good at this kind of thing. Indeed, "Heartbreaker" is a typically ballsy, Guns''n'Roses style rocker with a suitably Steve Tyler/ Mick Jagger-esque vocal from Paul Gautrey.
This reviewer continues to confess a preference for the softer side of this band if he's being frank, but while "Heartbreaker" is the epitome of old skool hard rock, it's still impressively well-drilled, spandex-defying boogie which shits tacks all over The Darkness.
And surely that's enough to justify its' existence in the first place.
