Review: 'WHISKYCATS'
'London, 93Ft East, 29th June 2005'

-  Genre: 'Pop'

Our Rating:
WHISKYCATS are quite an amazing band. I’ve never seen a bunch of white boys - most of whom look as though they should be playing in a Libertines-style indie guitar band - playing such authentic Latino grooves like they ain’t nobody’s business.

These guys produce the most contagious and uplifting of Latino ska sounds. 93 Feet East was alive and kicking and loving that Whickeycat beat. I didn’t really know what to expect with a band name such as Whiskycats and arrived entirely ignorant of their material, but I soon discovered they are the cats, the cool salsa aristocats… the sunniest and most vibrant performers I have ever seen. The stage was glowing, literally.

You can’t help but dig these guys, the energy they emit, their positivity, how refreshing!!!! Make sure to see them live and simply love them, love them, love them!!!!
