Review: 'GRAHAM, NIR'
'POPROCKROCKFOLK'

-  Label: 'SELF RELEASED'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '2005'

Our Rating:
Israel born NIR GRAHAM is now residing in Leeds and his ‘PopRockRockFolk’ EP is his debut of self-produced songs. NIR sounds like an even slacker Damon Gough – if such a thing is possible - with maybe a touch of Pavement and Sebadoh. He also carries the obligatory self-deprecatory touches as evidenced on the opening of ‘Cheyenne Falls’ where he sings “I know I’m under rehearsed but I guess it’s just as well.”

His last track ‘Don’t Be Leaving’ is the best of the bunch and would not sound out of place on Willy Mason’s record. And I do mean that as a compliment.
