Our Rating:
And talking about releasing too many singles from your album....

To be fair, though, I can live with this (to a degree) if the song's some cop to begin with and "Little By Little" (sung by Noel) is quite possibly the best OASIS single in a small aeon, recapturing that slow-burning regret thing that ver Burnage boys can still muster when they can be arsed.

Actually, this time round it's personal for Noel, as "Little By Little" appears to deal with the charred remains of his relationship with his ex-missus, while "She Is Love" was written specifically with now ex-"bird" Sara MacDonald in mind. In a derisory recent NME grilling, though, Noel dismissed this line of thinking by suggesting the "She" in the title could refer to anything from your car to your shoes. In which case, "She is Love" probably represents your favourite, smelly pair of Converse: comfortable, but not exactly acceptable in public.

Still, against the odds, OASIS have proved they still have a grip on relevance and turned in an album that shows they're back on the right track. "Little By Little" remains one of the better things from "Heathen Chemistry", but methinks it's time to stop milking it any further now.
