Some of the hyper-fashionable reviewers have been dishing out narrow-eyed praise for this Northern band's first national tour. Songs really shouldn't be this singably hook ridden, should they? And the cheek of taking on aspirations of U2. Well ... and WTF?
Both tunes on this belting debut single - "Your Vegas" and "Aurora" are thundered out like the anthems they are. Lashing guitar lines, immense drums and a sharp spotlight on a voice that does indeed have "this guy can sing a bit" nailed on. Emotionally pumped up and euphoric is what it's all about. Not that you'd know, but YOUR VEGAS have been assembling this monster truck sound in component form in a variety of Yorkshire, London and New York locations over an extended period. Big stages and wide screens are in order.
The full gleaming thing is now ready to go and the suspiciously anonymous "White Duke" label provides the loading ramp.
