Review: 'BLAISE, TARA'
'London, Bush Hall, 7th September 2005'

-  Genre: 'Pop'

Our Rating:
TARA BLAISE!!!! Something about her irritated me when she appeared on stage at the Bush Hall this Wednesday. I think it was this whole, as Mike Skinner perfectly put it, ‘You’re fit but you know it’. With her long ever-so revealing red dress, her blonde locks, striking Scandinavian like beauty. Hmmm!!! I am not sure she came across as very obvious, her pouty lips and sexual sultry body movements just shouted ‘look at me I’m sooo hot!!!’ It’s the awareness she has of this fact that bugged me.

Once you can get past that and the rows of ogling old men lined up in front of the stage, though, this Wicklow-born country-pop singer isn’t that bad at all. Her songs - especially killer current single "The Three Degrees" - are catchy and melodic. Her voice is gorgeous, the lyrics are well thought out with enough twists to hold your attention and the production of the songs is pretty masterful. Perhaps inevitably, there is a resemblance in the music style and appearance of the Corrs, this may be due to working with the same manager and producer and they are, after all, from the same home turf.

So not bad at all, though if I was Tara, I would lay low on the sexual sultry body rocking.
