Upbeat and chirpy new single 'Bang Bang' by Eastbourne band THE LATEGREATS has been played on independent radio stations around the country for a while now.
With a twanging bass line, and pounding drums this catchy song reminds you slightly of the Mersey beat sound yet (bizarrely) in the middle has a guitar solo that wouldn't be out of place in an At The Drive In song. Still works well though, which is the most confusing thing of all.
Double AA side 'Life Without Balloons' is another jaunty offering with occasional shimmering guitar chords and (again really strangely) another angry chorus which is totally unlike the rest of the tune but fits in with it perfectly. Perplexing to say the least, but at least this band keeps you on your toes!
