Our Rating:
First, a small confession. Your reviewer was sent THE BOY LEAST LIKELY TO'S quietly fine debut album "The Best Party Ever" a few weeks back and he's struggled to find the time to put pen to paper (or more accurately, finger to keyboard) about it since. However, he shall belatedly be doing so in the New Year, so stick around.

In the meantime, though, go to TBLLT'S website and check out one of their special Christmas gifts, this gentle to the touch version of the hymn "Little Donkey", which at a mere 1 minute 48 - with the aid of acoustic guitar, banjo, bells, recorders and whispered vocals - aurally personifies the innocence of assemblies at junior schools everywhere. Or at least in those parts of the world where parents aren't worrying about paedophiles and crack dealers hanging around the playground.

Undefiled, unironic and quite lovely, "Little Donkey" can't fail to melt your heart.

(available to buy from the two London Rough Trade shops ONLY on December 24th, 2005. That day alone. So hurry!)
