Review: 'SUNSHINE UNDERGROUND, THE'
'COMMERCIAL BREAKDOWN'

-  Label: 'CITY ROCKERS'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: 'January 16th, 2006'

Our Rating:
Don't be put off by the name. Although it may seem like THE SUNSHINE UNDERGROUND are the kind of band who would have been the geeky hippy kid at school, don't hold this against them.

Their newest single 'Commercial Breakdown' is a lively, fast paced track, with a sense of urgency reflected in the catchy, angry chorus. No peace and eternal love for these guys!

B side, 'The Way It Is' is more upbeat, with twanging guitars, staccato drumming and handclaps galore, reminding listeners of similar sounding stuff by The Rapture. Vague rip-offs aside though, these two songs help to show that Sunshine Underground are a band who will not let themselves be ignored.
