The media kudos previously afforded MY VITRIOL had somehow bypassed this reviewer, who comes to "Moodswings" happily untainted.
So, it's cool to find "Moodswings" pushing a lot of the right buttons very violently indeed. A taster fro the band's soon-come, enhanced "Between The Lines" double CD (remixed debut LP "Faultlines", coupled with a separate CD of acoustic, live and cover songs...it's a corker, incidentally), "Moodswings" showcases another excellent UK outfit supping from a potent Transatlantic cocktail, but - like SEAFOOD of late - using its' after-effects to shape sonic dremscapes very much their own.

"Moodswings" is backed by "The Gentle Art Of Choking", one of "Finelines" stand-out tracks, which seems tailor made as a single too. It's a little lighter in shade: threatening dark green as opposed to "Moodswings" broiling, turbulent black, but it's none the worse for that.
MY VITRIOL are currently on tour as I write this. Make sure you catch a mouthful of their rather delicious poison if you're in their vicinity.
