Our Rating:
I'm sinking into a hot bubble bath, I've just watched Bridget Jone's Diary, and I'm on the phone to my best friend nattering about men in general. I'm eating loads of chocolate and drinking a glass of chilled white wine, but there is something missing. Ah I see, I forgot to put on AMILIA K SPICER's 'Seamless' album for the finishing touch to my 'Archetypal Girly Night In'.

Worry not, there's no 'Girl Power' bollox going on with this album, it's just lovely and soft, and should be played late at night to calm the nerves and sooth the senses.

Her music is country folk, it doesn't rock, there are no real massive tunes - I don't get the urge to dance around my bedroom singing in front of the mirror into a hairbrush, but I do get the urge to call my Mum and snuggle up on a sofa with some hot cocoa.

Bearing this in mind, the few 'edgy' songs on this album are unconvincing. "I got wasted, and nothing mattered. tearing down the hotel, I don't remember why." I'm sure she did, but her musical style doesn't really carry those sentiments off. She should probably stick to the easy listening end of her music, she does that very well.

So on the whole this album is pleasant, maybe a little boring, but certainly relaxing and nice to have on in the background while your wearing a face pack.
