Review: 'DELIRIOUS?'
'THE MISSION BELL'

-  Label: 'FURIOUS? RECORDS'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: 'January 2006'

Our Rating:
The Christian rock gods are back. Oh dear. This time though, instead of vainly attempting to convert a crowd of unbelievers, Delirious? (a band who blatantly flaunt the rules of grammar) are preaching to the saved.

Their third album ‘The Mission Bell’ is full of, not so subtle, references to God, the Bible and all things holy as demonstrated by second track ‘Now Is The Time’ a song complete with chanting of ‘Jesus, Jesus’ in the chorus.

This is not an album for the faint hearted, although spookily the band are starting to sound more and more like U2. They have the same stadium sound, half-spoken lyrics and epic, chanting choruses sung in gospel fashion. ‘The Mission Bell’ is certainly not everyone’s cup of tea, but for fans of the group (or The Almighty), it is an encouraging step forward. She says cautiously.
