Don’t panic - ‘No Tomorrow’ isn’t, as its name might suggest, some kind of apocalyptic grindcore dirge. Entirely the opposite in fact – ORSON'S debut is a hedonistic hymn to night clubbing that comes on like a summit between the Scissors Sisters and ‘Sticky Fingers’-era Stones, with light and airy 1980s AOR production values thrown in for good measure.
It also contains my favourite couplet of the year so far: ‘Funny hat, shiny pants, I’m in need of some romance’. ‘Nuff said.
