Review: 'MUNKEY JUICE'
'FATTY ARBUCKLE'S COKE BOTTLE'

-  Label: 'CTL RECORDS'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: 'January 2006'

Our Rating:
The press release begs you to ignore the band’s name (‘if you’re willing to shrug off Munkey Juice just because of their name, then we feel sorry for you’), and pleads you to listen to the groups eighth album release. So, after putting aside the allusions (and the annoying and pointless spelling) of the name, and giving the album a thorough, and impartial listen to, I’m surprised to find that my gut feeling about the album held true. It's awful.

Not one track on this album stands out from the rest, and not one track stands out as anything other than dull, boring, middle of the road, pseudo rock band trite. Munkey Juice sound at times like a third rate Nirvana tribute band and at best, the kind of band that fourteen year olds start when they begin to copy their idols. Like the title of the second track on their album, this truly is indeed ‘Intolerable Noise’.
