Duels are a band with obvious punk influences, with their newest single ‘Animal’ sounding a like a mix of early punk bands and the long forgotten Ooberman, with raw strumming guitars, tight, rhythmic drumming and a fusion of deep shouting vocals from lead singer Jon with breathy, more tuneful backing by keyboardist Katherine.
The result is a short, funky single which you’d be hard pressed not to like.
