Review: 'ROEBECK'
'DO YOU REMEMBER'

-  Label: '69db music'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '08 May 2006'

Our Rating:
ROEBECK are producers Luke and Brett Roebeck, with the featured singing of MARXUS NEXUS on track 2's "Just wanna Be Loved".

The three tunes on this CD are romantic, calm, strung out and a little soulfully sad. The bass and percussion lines are gentle friendly pulses and the melodic lines are mind swirling loops out in to the night air.

"Do You remember" is hardly a track at all. Just a minimalist keyboard tune with some acoustic guitar. Just under 3 minutes of calm air with an emotionally quiet reassurance for any troubled soul.

"Just wanna Be Loved" is the main production, with that Merz-like voice transforming the beats and tune into something very desirable and weepy.

"Starry Night (On Emerald Bay)" is back with the half-lit synth and fireflies in the darkness. It dips out just shy of two minutes and was hardly there at all. But very sweet nonetheless.
