Review: 'WHIRLWIND HEAT'
'REAGAN (EP)'

-  Label: 'BRILLE'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: 'April 2006'

Our Rating:
Sounding like an early Pavement song, the first track off the ‘Reagan EP’ is wonderful in its simplicity, with a twanging bass line and sing along chorus.

Discovered by Jack White four years ago, Whirlwind Heat mix the
sound of early New York punk bands with funky, up tempo beats and casio keyboards. With heavy, distorted guitars, thrashing drums and distinctive half spoken lyrics, in the style of The Moldy Peaches ‘Reagan’ is a record which is both familiar yet new. Well worth numerous listens, as it doesn’t fail to get better and better with every spin in the CD player.
