“Killing Street” is agitated, jerky and evocative of a gritty version of early Charlatans in places. THE COMMON REDSTARTS have some nice tunes up their sleeves, although nothing radically original or thought provoking.
While “Killing Street” is hard-nosed and fast paced, the B-side to this single, “Angel Eyed Friend” is slightly more laid back, but the vocals are forced, and it sounds a lot like Oasis. In fact the more you listen to it, the more Oasis-y it becomes, and at this point all respect is lost. Meh.
