Review: 'SAMPSON, DAZ'
'MAKING YOUR MIND UP'

-  Label: 'EBUL'
-  Genre: 'Dance' -  Release Date: '17th April 2006'

Our Rating:
What in the Blue Fuck is this? A 'hard hitting' rap that opens with a group of cockney children singing “What did you learn at school today? That’s what the teachers used to say,” with some apparent ‘geezer’ called DAZ SAMPSON coming out with one-liners such as “If you teach the kids fine, they won’t do the crime. Hear me now!” One can almost see the Dickensian urchins smothered in mud and holding out their flat caps for some pennies. Yak.

Urghhhh, I can’t decide whether “Daz” is a Young Tory telling the kidz to Keep It Real in a David Cameron stylee, or he’s part of a commendable yet tragic sounding inner-city youth-work music initiative. Either way, its bloody awful.

Without wanting to sound like a totally uncompassionate bitch, I understand and appreciate the various plights of people round the world. But believe me, the message would be put across a lot more effectively if it wasn’t gift wrapped in such utter tripe.
