Review: 'BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT'
'BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT'

-  Label: 'TEN PAST TEN'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '15th May 2006'

Our Rating:
One can sum up the meaning of Emo in the 21st Century very easily. Well 'Ard lads with loud guitars and heavy drums, coupled with soppy lyrics about being dumped and depressed - showing what a bunch of pansies wallowing in their own self-pity they actually are.

BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT sound slightly like Green Day, and slightly like the Lost Prophets, but they’re nowhere near as energetic, humorous, or good, and they left me feeling slightly bored.

The drummer is great, and the guitar work is fancy. No problems in that department. But wrist-slashingly nauseating lyrics such as “I must escape this tragic life/ I must escape from here/ But with my exit firmly closed/ My life is here to stay” [No Escape] make it sound like all they need is a good clip round the ear hole.

I would recommend to these depressive young boys that they get off MySpace pronto, edge away from their circle of virtual ‘Friends’, and meet some real live people instead.

And they should probably stop picking their spots.
