This is one for fans of smooth soul/ modern 'R n B'. Although a talented musician, and innovative DJ, it is JEFFRON’S seamless production that stands out in these four mixes of the finger snapping, seductive ‘Dance’. In its radio incarnation it is a quality offering that may confirm the chemistry through an appraisal of the female form in action out on the floor (and no sleaze neither!).
My favourites are the Hiphop muzik edit; it bounces to an electronic depth charge that makes your grin widen. With the basic jam distorted and the bass in full effect, the high drama is intensified due the basic but powerful pulse.
This is arguably bettered by the searing breakbeat of the ‘Two step muzik’ that strips the original down and samples it back over a dizzying, danceable and surging near-funk, that has time enough at 6-7minutes to lose itself fully in a lost world of hard techno.

There is an ‘acoustik’ offering too, that is half a step slower, and that bit more appropriate for the big serenade. Though your own appraisal of this will depend ultimately on your ‘Love it or loathe it?’ stance where contemporary R & B is concerned, the production skills on display make this the interesting record that it is.
