Review: 'BRAME, PETER'
'WAKE UP'

-  Label: 'MANIC RECORDS'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '21st August 2006'

Our Rating:
Peter Brame made his first attempt at stardom by appearing on the BBC’s Fame Academy. After finishing in fourth place, a public relationship with TV presenter Fearne Cotton and alcohol and drug abuse soon followed.

But that’s all in the past now and Peter is back with his up tempo debut single ‘Wake Up’. But despite a rock and roll lifestyle in the making, Peter’s attempt at being edgy, doesn’t quite work. Caught in a no mans land between young kids and young adults, ‘Wake Up’ sounds more like Shampoo’s ‘Trouble’ than anything more challenging and its hard to know who the song is supposed to appeal to. Certainly the more discerning of fans will see through Peter’s transparency.
