With a voice as clear as mountain water and gentle, unselfconscious melodies it is hard not to immediately dismiss Lucinda Sieger as just yet another singer with an acoustic guitar.
Sieger’s vocal talent is obvious and so it’s no surprise to discover that she has collaborated with members of Bronski Beat and Leftfield. Unfortunately though, Sieger’s solo album is not a good as it first appears, with her sweet charming vocals blending in all to easily with the insipid strum of the backing guitar and then fading out altogether as your mind slowly tunes out from her album, failing to find anything in the record to latch onto.
