Unsigned Brummie 6 piece Lady Rain’s debut single ‘Dead Bees’ shows promise.
With its frantic guitar playing and angry, heartfelt lyrics it’s not a single that’s easy to ignore. The catchy tune and the bands raw energy makes for an exciting and original introduction to the group.
Sadly, B sides ‘Ten Feet Tall’ and ‘Sell Yourself’ though pale in comparison. With their almost identical guitar riffs and shouting choruses, it’s almost as if the group have found a formula that works well for them and will follow it through no matter what happens. Take a chance or two lads and I'm listening.

Not too sure about the view on the b sides - maybe it's because I've heard the tracks live and they do anything but follow a formula!
Sure Lady Rain have a trademark sound - that's a sign of a band reaching maturity.
