If you “rip up the rule book on your critically acclaimed debut” make sure you have a backlog of good songs to fall back on for that difficult second release.
Canada’s Junior Boys single “In The Morning” struggles along and no amount of breathy vocals incanting “Do ya?” can elevate this track beyond its flaccid content. Personnel changes (former member Johnny Dark has left to do his own recordings) has certainty changed the overall group magic. Remixers Morgan Geist (on the track The Equalizer) and Alex Smoke do their best to save the patient (and believe me they are top remixers) however, I am asked again “Do ya?” and the answer is… no mate, I respectfully don’t.
