‘Don’t Give Up’ presents us with typically sparky, low-ridin’ indie-rockabilly sounds from this London trio who – implausibly – have recently been thrown into the deep end of arena-size supports with Muse of all people.
The song itself sounds unnervingly like a cross between Queen Adreena and a less B-Movie/ Goth-inclined Eighties Matchbox, but gets by with energy and charisma to spare nonetheless. Actually, the more you hear it, the more you realise that being paired with Muse may not have been such a David and Goliath affair after all, as Noisettes’ tunefully hyperactive psycho-pop will surely have made its’ way into all the nooks and crannies of those aircraft hangars – most probably blowing away the cobwebs in fine style too.
