Review: 'SUNSHINERS, THE'
'Vanuatu'

-  Label: 'Ter A Terre'
-  Genre: 'Reggae' -  Release Date: 'February 2007'

Our Rating:
When reading the titles of the tracks on The Sunshiner's 'Vanuatu' album I thought it was just a conincidence that many of the tracks sounded like some of my old favourites from the 1980's, but when I put the album on I couldn't believe my ears!

On this superb little album these reggae artists have covered some of the top tracks from UK music in the 1980's. Tracks such as Rod Stewart's 'Baby Jane', The Fine Young Cannibal's 'She Drives Me Crazy' and Crowded House's 'Don't Dream It's Over' are all covered on here in an extremely unique way.

On first listen the album sounds like something of a gimmick, and you can't help but laugh. However, upon listening again it becomes quite catchy, and before long you can't help but love it! I was suddenly transported to a bar somewhere in the carribean and I forgot all about the rain drizzling down my window.

Although this album clearly is a gimmick, it is very hard not to enjoy it!
