Review: 'BLACK GHOSTS'
'ANYWAY YOU CHOOSE TO GIVE IT'

-  Label: 'SOUTHERN FRIED'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '2nd April 2007'

Our Rating:
If you were to Google "BLACK GHOST" you would either get a few interesting descriptions of "One of the most stunning and odd looking tropical fish we are allowed to keep," (incidentally, the world of the tropical fish enthusiast is a strange place), or you can read about the antics of gothic electro popsters, "Black Ghosts". For the purposes of this article, we are not interested in tropical fish.

Make no bones about it, the catergorically un-aquatic Black Ghosts single, "Anyway You Choose To Give It" is a bit of a floor-filler. Think Casio-laden electro-pop with dark undertones, a bit like Hot Chip but with fewer members (there are two in Black Ghost), and you're there. Even though we're supposed to be scared by the pints of fake blood and images of skeletons, the track is far too bouncy to be hard - it's the audio equivalent of sitting on a space hopper. Fabulously catchy, and we love it. Watch this space.

And for any fish lovers out there, the Black Ghost tropical fish, or Apteronotus albifrons, should be kept in a large aquarium with a small grained susbtratezzzzzzzzzzz..........
