Our Rating:
A taster for Waz's forthcoming album, this four track ep offers hope for those who've had enough of the James Blunt school of sensitive troubadour. A deceptively simple core of guitars, piano and strings is given a warm lush production that doesn't sound quite like anything else out there. It could just be the template for the next wave of young male singer songwriters on the pop scene.

Waz was born in Cleveland but has been developing his musical career in California, where he has clearly developed a knack for putting a song together. There's always room for more love songs, and if you can find a way of writing a hook and sounding distinctive then you just might have a hit on your hands; Waz keeps it warm, simple and heartfelt - introspective without being self absorbed - and leaves a warm glow in his wake.
