First of all this band has amazing artwork. From the same guy that did the Iron Maiden albums no less! Secondly, upon closer inspection, the album is called 'A Terrible Thing'. With a title that just opens the band up for attack, it surely begs a listen.
The band themselves are pretty accomplished. It's a very polished debut album you can't deny that. But it all feels a little bit dated. I suppose classic rock will have always had it's day, but you somehow get the impression the band are a little bit out of touch. The album plays along nicely enough and 'Tell Me' is the obvious, and current, single with its' rapturous back up vocals and great guitar work.
All in all though it's a bit of a weary record but I'd be interested to hear what they can produce in the future.
