Review: 'SCOUT NIBLETT feat. BONNIE 'PRINCE' BILLY'
'KISS'

-  Label: 'TOO PURE'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '26th November 2007'-  Catalogue No: 'PURE225S'

Our Rating:
Quite simply put, this is as amazing as you'd expect it to be. It's hard to go that wrong when you have Bonnie 'Prince' Billy doing vocals on a track, but when you combine that with one of the most gorgeous female voices of all time, you are left with something unerringly beautiful. It's a sparse song which tugs at the heart-strings in that special kind of way. Scout Niblett is the wank fantasy of any, ahem, hardened Jeff Buckley fan. It's that same sort of breath-taking. She is shrill and broken, Billy is weak and broken. Together they break you.

This song meanders, with each telling their side of the story and then combining to call out to each other. It whispers and shouts in equal measures and conveys those moments when you really need someone. Couples with pudding bowl haircuts and stripy jumpers will be making this 'their song' in no time. There is not enough gushing that can be done in honour of this tune.
