London/Australia-based recording triumvirate UK STATES' wonderful second album 'Psychogeography' remains one of the more engaging and arcane sonic seductions of recent times and from it comes the rather marvellous two minutes and twenty-eight seconds constituting 'Eyes In The Back Of Your Head'.
Having recently been added to the 'Songs Of The Times' series on Neil Young's Living With War Today website, 'Eyes...' may not plumb the esoteric lyrical depths of some of its' parent album's concerns (i.e insects, suicidal tendencies, curious sandwich fillings) but it still comes with its' built-in 'just-'cos-you're-paranoid' message intact ("you'd better act natural or you're gonna come to their attention") and is kissed by those gloriously golden three-way harmonies that are more California than Catford any day of the week.
In simple terms, then, 'Eyes In The Back Of Your Head' is an absolute beaut. Shut up and get downloading without further ado.
